Study Notes: This is a study you could use during our “Safer at Home” time, or at other times during these days of change. It could be a meeting devotional, or a study for your lunch break. Maybe you could try this with your family, a group of friends, or with your own cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Review Acts 4:5-12.
1. Why would Luke tell about the gospel being put on trial multiple times--do most Christians think the church should get closer to society’s problems?
2. How might you get closer or more proximate to racial justice or childhood poverty--is there a committee or class or group you might investigate?
3. How has your faith enabled you to be a more courageous witness?

Prayer Focus:
* Pray for the families traumatized by violence, especially racial injustice.
* Pray for action to minimize mass shootings and for healing for those concerned.
* Pray for fumc as it prepares to offer both limited in person worship and virtual worship.

Prepare for worship next Sunday, May 2nd, 2021, by reading Acts 8: 26-40.
