"Spirit Song" , UMH 347, by John Wimber, offered by Kurt Eisenmann, Tenor, John Sheaffer, pipe organ.
Verse 1:
Oh, let the Son of God enfold you
with his Spirit and his love,
Let him fill your heart and satisfy your soul.
Oh, let him have the things that hold you,
and his Spirit, like a dove,
will descend upon your life and make you whole.
Chorus:
Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.
Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.
Verse 2:
Oh, come and sing the song with gladness
as your hearts are filled with joy.
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to his name.
Oh, give him all your tears and sadness,
give him all your years of pain,
And you'll enter into life in Jesus' name.
Chorus:
Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.
Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.

Forth in Thy Name, O Lord.

Verse 1:
Forth in thy name, O Lord, I go,
my daily labor to pursue;
thee, only thee, resolved to know
in all I think or speak or do.
Verse 2:
The task thy wisdom hath assigned,
O let me cheerfully fulfill;
in all my works thy presence find,
and prove thy good and perfect will.
Verse 3:
Thee may I set at my right hand,
whose eyes mine inmost substance see,
and labor on at thy command,
and offer all my works to thee.
Benediction: Go to let the wind move you...offered by Rev. Dan Schwerin.
Postlude: "When Morning Gilds the Skies", Jason Payne, offered by John Sheaffer, organ.
Study Notes: This is a study you could use during our “Safer at Home” time, or at other times during these days of change. It could be a meeting devotional, or a study for your lunch break. Maybe you could try this with your family, a group of friends, or with your own cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Review Romans 8:12-17.
1. What does it mean for you to be led by the Spirit of God? For the church to be led by the Spirit?
2. What helps you to let go of fear instead of being led by it?
3. Children of God are dependent on God, but also grow in the likeness of God. How are you depending on and growing in the likeness of God?
Prayer Focus:
* Pray for the transitions in the life of FUMC.
* Pray for the knowledge of God’s will and the power to carry that out.
* Practice breath prayer: breathe in “Come,” breathe out “Holy Spirit.”
Prepare for worship next Sunday, June 6th, 2021, by reading 2 Corinthians 4:13-5:1.
