The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Listeners and viewers please note:
In person worship is suspended until further notice. This is due to concern for the health of our congregation and staff related to the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19. Bishop Jung has recommended that Wisconsin Methodist Churches hold off on in-person worship for now as are many other churches in our community. We continue under CDC restrictions.
Best practices for safety were observed during the production of all worship service elements.

Officiant: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Officiant:…And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven, we praise Your name and join their unending hymn:
All: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Officiant:…And so, in remembrance of these Your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
All: Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.
Officiant:…Through Your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in Your holy Church, all honor and glory is Yours, almighty God now and forever.
All: Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer - spoken by all.
All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Ministry Moment offered by Rev. Greta Hietpas.

Benediction: offered by Rev. Dan Schwerin.

Study Notes: This is a study you could use during our “Safer at Home” time, or at other times during these days of change. It could be a meeting devotional, or a study for your lunch break. Maybe you could try this with your family, a group of friends, or with your own cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Review Acts 8:26-40.
1. Who in your life makes Christ known to you most?
2. How does Christian community help you become a more fully devoted follower of Jesus?
3. How are you in ministry because of your faith?

Prayer Focus:
* Pray for those suffering from the coronavirus across the world, especially in India.
* Pray for the increase of racial justice.
* Pray for First UMC and those trying to help us adapt to both virtual and limited in-person worship.
