to First United Methodist Church

ADVENT, a time of waiting expectantly and intentionally preparing for Christ’s arrival at Christmas, begins Sunday, November 28. Our theme this year is COMING HOME. Mark your calendar for the following opportunities listed below and watch for more information in the announcements.  May this season of Advent that we share together be filled with hope, peace, joy and love!

Missions Giving Tree Sunday

November 28 – Sunday, December 19
Take a tag from the tree, purchase a present for HOPE Center or United Methodist Children’s Services, and return by December 19. Green tags tell you how to donate toward the purchase of gift cards for these organizations.

Christmas in the Four Gospel Homes: An Advent Study by Cynthia M. Campbell is a small book that helps us to get a better understanding of the unique perspective of the four gospels. Order your own book or pick one up at church ($11 if it is not a hardship). Consider engaging the book as a family, creating a small group to discuss it each week, and/or joining us at the Intergenerational Advent Workshop or Zoom Advent Study listed above.  Use the buttons below to learn more information and to sign up to attend. Contact the church office if you need assistance.
