Senior Visitation Ministry
Growing old is a process filled with everyday challenges and extraordinary opportunities for spiritual growth. Through this ministry, members of FUMC visit one-on-one with senior members of the church monthly in the homes or long-term-care facilities where they live. Sharing conversation can provide seniors with relief from loneliness and visitors with wisdom, fascinating stories, and new hobbies to enjoy. If you feel called to serve in this ministry, please contact our Minister of Congregational Care, Nina Harlan Kohl, at 262-542-4256.
XYZ Senior Ministry (Extra Years of Zest)
For folks 50 years old and up, XYZ provides fun social activities, educational engagement, spiritual growth, trips, retreats, concerts, and opportunities for service. Both members of FUMC and the wider community are welcome to participate.
Please plan to join XYZ on the second Thursday of each month from September through June for a luncheon program. We gather at 11:30 a.m. We begin promptly at 12:00 noon with tasty food, served potluck style, friendly fellowship and a healthy dose of fun. Bring your favorite gastronomic delight to share. Everything else is furnished. You are encouraged to bring your favorite 50+ friend, too!!
